To our Clients and Friends:

The spread of COVID-19, also known as the Coronavirus, has impacted all of us both personally and professionally. As we collectively navigate these unchartered waters, we want to take this time to reach out to you, our valued clients and friends, that work with our firm.

First and foremost, we hope that each of you and your families are fine.

Tamkin & Hochberg, LLP has implemented a variety of steps to ensure business continuity and uninterrupted service while protecting the health and safety of our clients, colleagues and employees during this unprecedented outbreak. We have implemented procedures to allow all business to continue to operate as normal, while utilizing various technology options to allow our firm to continue to provide any and all client services.

Some of areas we have been discussing with our clients include, accessing emergency credit lines, new credit lines or temporary loan modifications with your own current lenders.

While our office currently remains open in Newton, members of our team are already working remotely and securely. We have the capability to access and work fully on our cloud-based platform. We regularly receive and make phone calls from our cell phones, homes and conduct video conferences. We’ve conducted virtual meetings through Skype, Facetime, Zoom and other popular formats for years now. This is not new for us.

For those business clients concerned on the continuity of operations, and their own responsibilities to their employees and customers, please see this link to the CDC’s recommendations on how to deal with employee, customer and other interactions. If you have specific questions regarding your own business operations and what can, or should, be implemented, please reach out.

Some of areas we have been discussing with our clients include, accessing emergency credit lines (the new SBA Loan Program), new credit lines or temporary loan modifications with your own current lenders. We are also reviewing current laws and pending legislation regarding your employees and business, reviewing policies for available insurance coverage and contractual rights and obligations under pending contracts. For example, we are evaluating the applicability of so called “force majeure” provisions, and how to address your business’ relationship with customers, clients, creditors, landlords and tenants.

We want you to know that we are here for you and are ready and able to provide you with any counsel or assistance that may be needed.
